We know you have lots of questions and we’re only too happy to answer them as best as we can. 3rd Party bookings?
We work with many online travel providers however, for the best rates and most flexible booking conditions we recommend that you book directly through Gatherall’s. Our booking app is secure and all transactions are via a verified merchant service provider for your safety. Your credit card info is not stored on our computers and booking confirmations are provided in real time.
Are there any restrictions?
The cruise is open to families and persons of all ages. Use of an infant carrier / snuggly recommended if traveling with infants. For the safety of guests, we cannot accommodate scooters / motorized chairs (manual wheelchair available on request). Washrooms are conveniently located on the main deck.
Are whales guaranteed.
We cannot guarantee whales but we will do our very best to spot them. Please remember that these are wild animals living in their natural habitat who’s movements and life rhythms do not revolve around our schedule or desire to observe them. General seasonal guidance is provided based on close to 40 years of offering our tours to the public.
All local boats chat however for best chances it is recommended to visit during the peak feeding season. Local whale sightings and encounters typically peak during mid-June through to mid-August. Whales may arrive mid-May and sometimes stay through September. Please remember that sightings outside of the peak season are a bonus!
Can I smoke on board?
In accordance with our provincial liquor laws, smoking is prohibited in licensed public areas which includes on board the tour vessel and indoors in our reception area. Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside and are equipped with suitable refuse containers.
Can we bring our dog onboard?
Dogs are not permitted on board in accordance with the Ecological Reserves Act under which we operate (excepting bonafide service dogs – copies of official designation may be requested). We appreciate that your dogs are a part of your family, however, many dogs are not comfortable with vessel motions and often find it somewhat distressful. For your dog’s safety and comfort we recommend scheduling a sitter for your pet during your visit.
Can we bring snacks on board.
A canteen service is available during the tour and you are welcome to bring your own snacks & beverages (non-alcoholic).
