Travel Time Gatherall’s catamaran greatly reduces travel time to and from the Ecological Reserve so that you spend more time with the birds and whales and less time in transit. By reducing travel time, we have been able to trim our tour length to 90 minutes - leaving more time to take in other sites and attractions.
In addition to the standards and requirements set forth by the Canadian Department of Transport, Gatherall’s has in place many protocols and policies ensuring that your safety is our foremost priority. Gatherall’s has been at the forefront with respect to the call for more stringent standards and insurance requirements. Gatherall’s state of the art catamaran is designed and equipped in accordance with the latest and most thorough safety standards for life saving, fire fighting, damage survivability, etc.
Our catamaran is equipped with twin independent systems so as to ensure that the likelihood of a disruption in service is minimal. Gatherall's sails rain or shine.
Most Bird & Whale Facetime Gatherall’s catamaran requires less time to get to the areas where the puffins nest and the whales feed. This way you can spend more time watching them.
Greatest Range Gatherall’s catamaran can travel the farthest to find whales. The cat lets Gatherall’s find whales farther out when the other boats have turned back.
Most Comfortable Gatherall’s catamaran is a purpose designed and built passenger vessel – not a converted fishing boat. The catamaran provides inside seating for all passengers in the event of inclement weather. It features two washrooms and an on-board bar / canteen service. The catamaran is in a class above all other vessels.
Most Stable Gatherall’s catamaran is a more stable platform than conventional vessels. More stable means less seasickness and a more pleasant ride.
Highest Safety StandardGatherall’s catamaran is designed and equipped in accordance with applicable Transport Canada standards. Its unique design incorporates many back up systems– i.e. the cat has independent propulsion systems, independent fire-fighting systems, multiple watertight compartments, and is fully equipped with all required lifesaving equipment including lifejackets & life rafts, etc.
